A IS FOR APPLE 3

Many of you have been wondering and, indeed, asking us; where is it? Ideally, A Is For Apple Volume 3 would have been released last year, but some personal tragedies as well as a Hard Disk crash unfortunately delayed things quite considerably. But Apcor is glad to announce that the books have finally arrived and are ready for immediate shipping! Like Volumes 1 and 2, Volume 3 is another beast of a book, clocking in at nearly 660 pages in full colour, weighing 3.2 kilograms, individually numbered and with a hard cover featuring a superb design by our very own artist Ronnie Dannelley. Volume 3 covers the period April to August 1969, the period where Apple’s ‘De-Klein’ set in. It contains hundreds of rare photos and documents, biographies and extensive discographies of Apple-related record releases, as well as contributions by Paul Wane (of Tracks, Chorley, Lancashire, UK), Sara Schmidt (of the www.meetthebeatlesforreal.com blog) and Joachim Noske (writer of The Beatles Covered) and literate by the one and only, nearly famous left-handed bassist Mike Carpenter.
A Is For Apple Volume 3: The De-Klein, individually numbered and limited to 500 copies, comes with:

  • A copy of the DVD July August 1969 London Esher Liverpool (housed in a digipack with the 43-page booklet, plus signed postcard), normally retailing at 25 Euros. See below for more info.
  • A copy of the White Trash/Poets single Bad Weather (with Picture Sleeve), normally retailing at 15 Euros. See below for more info.

The retail price is 110 Euros (70 Euro for the book, 25 Euro for the DVD, 15 Euro for the 7″ Single).

CD STORMER DELUXE EDITION
Stormer were a West Yorkshire-based band who were signed to Ringo Starr’s Ring O’Records label and had one single released on the label before it folded. In a similar vein to White Trash’s never released album, Stormer had already finished a complete album to be released on Ring O, but this never got beyond the test pressing stage. Thanks to the surviving members of Stormer, the son of the late singer Mick Brassington and The Beatles Museum in Halle, Germany, all of whom made this release possible, Apcor is proud to announce the very first official release of this album, supplemented with five bonus tracks. The Stormer DeLuxe Edition comes in a limited edition of 500 copies and is housed in a hardcover digipack with a 59-page booklet in full colour with many never before seen photographs and documents, supplied by the Stormer guys, including a replica of a rare original brochure of Ringo’s own Startling Studios at Tittenhurst, where the album was recorded and even some never before seen colour photos of The Beatles!
500 Copies of this CD are available and retail at 25 Euros.

DVD JULY AUGUST LONDON ESHER LIVERPOOL 1969

The former editor (along with Joyce Kilbane) of that superb USA Beatles Fan Magazine, With A Little Help From My Friends, Patricia Simmons, went on holiday with two friends in the Summer of 1969, visiting among others the EMI Studios at Abbey Road, George Harrison at his Kinfauns home, the city of Liverpool as well as George’s parents in Warrington and filming the proceedings using an 8 mm camera. A very small portion of this footage was shared with some of her friends decades ago, but never before has the complete footage been seen, UNTIL NOW! Patricia was so kind to grant Apcor the rights to release all this unique material on a DVD, for which we are eternally grateful. Nearly 50 minutes of footage has been sourced from the original 8 mm reels, painstakingly restored and put in a chronological order. Sound effects and music (including a never before released track by an Apple act!) were added to the silent footage. The unique footage contains the last ever fan-filmed material of The Beatles operating as a group, arriving at EMI Studios. There is a large section featuring the girls visiting George Harrison at his home, seen patiently signing a bunch of autographs. There is footage of some famous Beatles landmarks in Liverpool (the Cavern, Liverpool Institute) and of George’s parents, Louise and Harold at their home. For the very first time since it was filmed 51 years ago, this footage becomes available in the best possible quality! The DVD, named July August 1969 London Esher Liverpool, is housed in a hardcover digipack with a 43-page essay by Patricia reminiscing about this trip, spiced up with never before seen unique photos in B&W and full colour. A bonus postcard, individually numbered and autographed by Patricia Simmons is supplied with each copy. The DVD is region-free and should play problem-free in any DVD player. Individual copies of the DVD July August 1969 London Esher Liverpool, including the individually numbered autographed card and housed in a digipack with a 43-page booklet have been made available for separate purchase at 25 Euros. This price is excluding postage and handling. All items are ready for immediate dispatch. SINGLE BAD WEATHER

Apple act White Trash was in the process of recording material for a possible album release on The Beatles’ label when Allen Klein pulled the plug on several projects, including this one. Thanks to our very own Antonio Caroselli, who graciously shared a recording of his Apple acetate, we are now able to present the only known surviving completed track of these sessions as a 7” vinyl single release, housed in a superb Picture Sleeve! The track, Bad Weather, was also recorded by Scottish band The Poets (which at one point featured future White Trash guitarist Fraser Watson) whose line-up included the song’s composer Hugh Nicholson, who went on to join The Marmalade. This recording, lent to us by Lenny Helsing (of Ugly Things magazine), is featured on the B-side of this 7” vinyl single. The single retails at 15 Euros.

Please note: Our packing and shipping department is a one-man operation, so please allow up to two weeks for shipping. Once your order is being shipped, you will get confirmation and, where applicable, a Tracking number of your shipment through PayPal. All orders on a first come, first served basis.
